# Manage your VisionCam account settings

> Manage your VisionCam account — update profile details, change your password, configure email preferences, and delete your account if needed.

## Creating an Account

To get started with VisionCam, you'll need to create a free account at [visioncam.xyz](https://visioncam.xyz).

1. Navigate to the **Sign Up** option in the top navigation bar.
2. Choose one of the following sign-up methods:
   * **Google** — Sign in with your existing Google account for a faster setup.
   * **Email** — Enter your email address and create a password manually. After that you will be required to enter a code emailed to you.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete registration.

  If you sign up with Google, your profile name and profile picture will be pulled from your Google account automatically.

## Managing Your Account

Once logged in, you can manage your account settings from the **Account Center**. Here you can:

* **Update your profile** — Change your display name, profile picture, or contact information.
* **Change your password** — Update your password at any time from the Security section.
* **Notification preferences** — Control which email or in-app notifications you receive.
* **Linked accounts** — View or disconnect third-party accounts (e.g., Google) linked to your VisionCam profile.
* **2-Factor-Authentication** — Enable 2FA to protect your account with an extra layer of security. When enabled, all dangerous actions will require a 2FA code.

To access the Account Center, click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the app and select **Account Settings**.

## Deleting Your Account

  Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, including saved content and preferences, will be permanently removed.
</Warning>

To permanently delete your VisionCam account:

1. Go to the **Account Center** via your profile menu.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the **Danger Zone** section.
3. Click **Delete Account**.
4. Confirm your decision when prompted.

Once deleted, your account and all associated data will be permanently erased. If you need assistance, contact us at [support@visioncam.xyz](mailto:support@visioncam.xyz) before proceeding.
